Pros:

Great harm, physical and faith
Drain upshot
Partially bypasses blocks
Weapon art breaks poise and juggles human sized enemies
Weapon art also prevents flasks in pvp

Cons

Holy impairment is about useless against a lot of enemies and bosses in the game, and holy knights with high armor will terminate up taking little of either type.
Less range than you'd look given its length. Very easy to miss charged attacks and baby-sit counters other weapons would hitting with.
On torrent, charged attacks don't damage enemies you run past as they accuse, and the attacks are straight vertical to the side. Coupled with the brusk range, makes horseback jousting fights more difficult than other weapons
